Read me first, before updating
Before updating the firmware on a BaseStation 3200 irrigation controller, you must check the hardware version. If the hardware version is 2.0 or lower, you can update to V16.6, but no higher. If you have questions, contact Baseline Support (866.294.5847).
To check the hardware version on a BaseStation 3200 irrigation controller:
1. On the BaseStation 3200 controller or in LiveView, go to the Advanced dial position.
2. Choose the System Settings option.
3. Find the hardware version number as shown in the illustration below.
Additionally, we recommend that you use a USB drive to do firmware updates on the BaseStation 3200.

When a BaseStation 3200 is connected to the AppManager server, the firmware version on the BaseStation 3200 is compared to the version on the server. If a newer firmware version is available, you can update the BaseStation 3200 from AdminManager.
1. In the AdminManager submenu, click Manage BaseStation 3200s. The Manage BaseStation 3200s page displays.
2. Click in the row for the BaseStation 3200 that you want to update the firmware on. The controller information displays in a slide-out pane.
3. Click the Firmware Updates header row to expand the section if necessary. The Current Version field shows the version of firmware that is running on the controller. If a firmware update is available, the version displays in the Available Version field.
4. To update the firmware, click Update in the Available Version row. The firmware update is applied to the BaseStation 3200 controller. It may take several minutes for the firmware update to complete.
5. Click <BACK in the upper-left corner of the slide-out pane to return to the Manage BaseStation 3200s page.
6. Click in the row for the BaseStation 3200 that you updated the firmware on. The controller information displays in a slide-out pane.
7. Verify that the new firmware version displays in the Current Version field. If the firmware did not update as expected, please call Baseline Support at 866-294-5847.

TRC remote controls do not operate with BaseStation 3200 controllers that have been updated to V16. When updating from V12.34, all zones move to Mainline 1. As the controller reboots, it will automatically update to the newest firmware for both devices. |

Updating the Firmware from a USB Drive
When a BaseStation 1000 is connected to the AppManager server, the firmware version on the BaseStation 1000 is compared to the version on the server. If a newer firmware version is available, you can update the BaseStation 1000 from AdminManager.

SubStation
Read me first, before updating
We always recommend that you perform a system backup before you update the SubStation firmware. If you experience issues with the firmware update, you can restore your SubStation to the previous configuration.
Additionally, we recommend that you use a USB drive to do firmware updates on the SubStation. Refer to the instructions in this article:

To do so, simply take a blank USB drive and upload both files (v2.4 and v1.3) onto the drive. Plug the USB into the SubStation and power-cycle the controller. As the controller reboots, it will automatically update to the newest firmware for both devices. To communicate with a BaseStation 3200 using Precip Sensor the BaseStation 3200 must be updated to v18.0 firmware or higher. |
FlowStation
Read me first, before updating
We always recommend that you perform a system backup before you update the FlowStation firmware. If you experience issues with the firmware update, you can restore your FlowStation to the previous configuration.
