    Understanding the Controller Information Report

    PDF

The Controller Information Report provides a summary of every controller in a company account, including connection details, current online status, and subscription information. It is useful for getting a quick overview of connectivity across all company sites.

    Report Header

The top of the report displays the company name, state, city, and phone number associated with the account, as well as the date the report was generated and the AppManager user who generated it.

    How the Report Is Organized

Controllers are grouped by site. Each site is labeled with its name, followed by one or more controller entries. Sites containing multiple controllers — including substations — list each device as a separate entry within that site.

    Controller Entry Fields

Each controller entry displays the following information:

Controller – The name assigned to the controller in AppManager.

Serial – The serial number of the controller.

    Type – The controller model (e.g., BL-3200, BL-3200S, BL-1000, Substation).

Version – The firmware version running on the controller at the time the report was generated.

    Type – The controller model.

Connection Type – How the controller connects to the network — either cellular or Ethernet.

Carrier – For cellular-connected controllers, the name of the cellular carrier (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile). Not shown for Ethernet connections.

SIM ICCID – The unique identifier for the SIM card installed in a cellular-connected controller. Not shown for Ethernet connections.

Current Status – Whether the controller is currently Online or Offline.

Last Connected On – The date and time the controller most recently communicated with the AppManager server.

Subscription – The subscription type assigned to the controller (e.g., BaseManager Plus, BaseManager Lite, SubStation).

Renewal -- The date the controller's subscription is next scheduled to renew.

    Connection Types

Controllers in this report connect to AppManager in one of two ways. Cell-connected controllers communicate using an installed SIM card, and will display the carrier name and SIM ICCID. Ethernet-connected controllers communicate over a wired local network connection, and will not display carrier or SIM information.

    Substations

Substations are remote expansion devices that connect to a primary 3200 at a site. They appear as separate entries within their site in the report, identified by their substation type (Substation, Substation RV, or Substation CP). Substations have their own connection type, subscription, and renewal date, and are listed alongside the primary controller they are associated with.

    Online vs. Offline Status

The Current Status field reflects the controller's connection state at the time the report was generated. A status of Online indicates the controller is actively communicating with the AppManager server. A status of Offline indicates the controller has not been reachable, and the Last Connected On date shows the most recent successful communication. The length of time since a controller was last seen can be useful for identifying devices that may require attention.
