A cloud update key resembles a USB thumb drive and is located on the back of the control panel. The update key allows firmware updates to be downloaded to the controller from the cloud.  It is important that they key remain inserted for the life of the controller. If the key is removed or damaged, the controller cannot receive firmware updates.

Possible Causes

• The key has been removed.
  
  
• The key is damaged and needs to be replaced.  
  
  
• The key is not fully inserted into the USB port.

Possible Fixes

• If an update key is present, remove and reinsert it, confirming that it is seated properly. If the problem persists, contact Customer Support for further steps in troubleshooting.

How to Clear an Update Key Missing Alert

You do not need to do anything to clear this alert. The alert will clear on its own after 30 seconds if remedied.
