When a Rain Switch On alert occurs, the controller has been placed in a rain pause due to a rain sensor being activated.
Possible Causes:
- The controller has a rain sensor connected and has been placed on rain pause due to a rain event.
- A RainShare controller has detected a rain event and has placed all RainShare controllers on the site in a rain pause.
- If no rain sensor is in use, the jumper may be missing from the rain switch terminal.
The controller stops all scheduled irrigation (except stations with useable rainfall set to none) and stops calculating depletion on paused stations until the rain pause duration has expired.
How to Resolve:
- Wait until rain event ends (or expires).
- Verify rain sensor is properly connected or if there is no rain sensor verify a rain sensor jumper is installed.
- Verify the batteries in the wireless rain sensor transmitter and receiver are good.
- Check that rain sensor is configured appropriately as a normally closed rain sensor.
- Check that the controller is properly part of a RainShare site.
How to Clear:
Rain Switch On alert will clear after rain event has finished or electrical troubleshooting has been performed.
