A Station Decoder Address Conflict happens when multiple station decoders are assigned to a specific station number. When the Station Decoder Address Conflict alert is active, the controller will not able to communicate with the station decoder to open or close the irrigation valve. This will affect scheduled irrigation, manual irrigation, and learn the flow. The controller will not be able to close the irrigation valve based on exceeding alert thresholds related to flow. The controller will not be able to perform diagnostic tests for that decoder.
Possible Cause
The station number has already been programmed to another station decoder installed on the 2-wire path.
Possible Remedy
You will need to look at station programming and decoder assignments. If there is a conflict, you will need to reprogram that decoder.
1. Go to Configure H20 2-wire on the controller menu.
2. Press + or - to view different decoder types.
3. Press Select when you reach the station number you want to program.
4. Validate that the station decoder information assigned to that station is the same decoder information for what is installed in the field.
5. If the station is already programmed to a station decoder that you do not want to use, remove that station decoder from the 2-wire.
6. After removing the decoder, reprogram it to a different station. To learn how read: Programming a Single Valve Decoder
How to Clear
The Station Decoder Address Conflict alert will automatically clear when a valve test or station activation completes without detecting an error. The station can also be configured to OFF which will clear the alert. You can also press the Clear All Electrical Alerts button from WeatherTRAK Central.
