Step-by-Step Guide
Understanding the Device Disabled Message
When a device is disabled in your system, you will receive a message with the following information:
Device Disabled – The message title indicates that a device has been taken out of active use.
The message includes details such as the device identifier (for example, PR C000 262), the date and time the device was disabled (such as January 1, 2021, 8:30 a.m.), and a priority level of Low.
The message body states: "Device disabled. This device will not be used on watering decisions." It also provides the serial number of the affected device.
What Happens When a Device Is Disabled
Once a device has been disabled, watering decisions will not be based on data from that device or sensor. The system will exclude the device from all irrigation calculations and scheduling.
This behavior applies to all device types. While the example shown uses a pressure biCoder, the same functionality and message apply to any other device or sensor in your system.
Cause of the Device Disabled Message
The device disabled message is triggered when you manually disable a device in BaseManager. This occurs when you uncheck the Enabled box for that device.
Re-Enabling a Disabled Device
To restore a disabled device and allow it to be used in watering decisions again, simply recheck the Enabled box for that device.
You can disable or re-enable devices from the Devices tab in BaseManager. Access this tab whenever you need to change the enabled status of any device in your system.
