A Master Valve Decoder Address Conflict happens when the controller recognizes multiple master valve decoders assigned to a single master valve number. When the Master Valve Address Conflict alert is active, the controller will not able to communicate with the master valve decoder to open or close the master valve. This alert will prevent scheduled irrigation, manual irrigation, learn flow, and master valve override. The controller will not be able to close a master valve based on exceeding alert thresholds related to flow. The controller will not be able to perform diagnostic tests for that decoder.
Possible Cause
The master valve number already been programmed to another master valve decoder installed on the 2-wire path.
Possible Remedy
You will need to look at station programming and decoder assignments. If there is a conflict, you will need to reprogram that decoder.
1. Go to Configure H20 2-wire on the controller menu.
2. Press + or - to view different decoder types.
3. Press select when you reach the master valve number you want to program.
4. Validate that the master valve decoder information assigned to that master valve is the same decoder information for what is installed in the field.
5. If the master valve is already programmed to a master valve decoder that you do not want to use, you will need to remove that decoder from the 2-wire path.
6. Once removed from the 2-wire path, that master valve decoder can be reprogrammed to a different master valve number. To learn how read: Programming a Master Valve Decoder
