When an extended leak occurs, flow has exceeded the leak detect threshold continuously for the extended leak period during non-irrigation hours. When this type of alert occurs, the controller closes a normally open master valve and raises an extended leak alert. The next irrigation will start as scheduled, but the alert will not be cleared automatically.
Possible Causes
- A quick coupler or hose bib is being used
- A valve is stuck open
- A mainline fitting is broken
- A flow connection that is creating a false signal
Possible Fixes
- Repair any valves, quick couplers, or hose bibs.
- Prevent the unauthorized use of a quick coupler or hose bib.
- Adjust the Extended Leak Delay setting on WeatherTRAK.net.
