Note: WeatherTRAK displays active alerts in the Mobile App. If you have not already downloaded the WeatherTRAK Mobile App in iTunes or Google Play, you can use the App as another source of alert information. Learn more about Alert Management.

WeatherTRAK allows selection of personal preferences for remote alert notification of one or more field alerts at your discretion.

In WeatherTRAK Central navigate to the "Alert" tab and select "Alert Setup" from the dropdown menu. Scroll down the page to find "Alert Notification Preferences." 

Choose from any one of the following functions (values are disabled until personal selections are made):

• Temporary suspension of receiving email and text messages. 
• Select to have remote alert notification automatically change using daylight savings for your time zone
• Select the type of remote alert notification preference (email or text messaging)
• Times of day to be notified
• Day of week to be notified
• Displays controllers in your account which can be excluded from remote alert notification as needed.

Note: Personal cell phone service providers may charge for receiving alert text messages. Consider reviewing your service plan as part of this setup.

• Suspend Alert Notification – This feature is intended to be used to suspend receiving messages for vacations or some other reason. Checking the open box will “gray-out” all remaining sections and will suspend any remote alert notification emails or text messages indefinitely until the value is changed back to “unchecked”. This feature changes this notification for the specific user only and does not impact others accessing the same controllers with a different, secure email and password.
  • When the Suspend Alert Notification checkbox is selected, the Alert Notification setup will be grayed back and the following warning will appear. 
  • Select “OK” to acknowledge the warning or select the to cancel this operation.
• Notification Email Address – Enter your work or personal email address to receive remote alert notifications.
• Notification Text Message Address – Enter your cell phone carrier’s text message address to receive text messages. 
  • Selecting the link will display the top 10 cell phone carrier default message prefixes. Select “Send a Test Notification” once either email or text message addresses are entered to confirm receipt of a sample alert message.
  • Time Zone – Select the time zone in which you’re located so that alerts are received during the same hours of notification selected. 
  • Send a Test Notification – Once this initial information is setup and saved, this feature will enable a test email and text message be sent to the identified email address or cell phone
