Learn how to troubleshoot a two-wire no response message.

    Possible Issues

    Wire Path Issues

Check that the alert lists a specific device in the error. If it does not, there may be a wiring error somewhere along the wire path. You can see the device ID at the bottom of the error screen.

    Problematic Splices

The splices on the Bicoder could be corroded, or have improper splice hardware installed. The correct splice hardware is a DBRY6 connector, in the provided waterproof capsule. This is the only splice hardware that meets specifications, and is included with every decoder set. They CANNOT be reused, so ensure to bring a new set if you need to replace the splice.

    Malfunctioning Decoder

The decoder may be faulty, which can be tested by looking for the flashing LEDs on the back of the decoder. If they aren't present when the decoder is in operation, consider taking the decoder to the controller, plugging it directly into the controller without the 2 wire path, and verifying if the decoder is the issue.

If you check all of the preceding steps and fail to resolve the issue, consider contacting Baseline Support. Baseline support can be reached at support.baselinesystems.com or 866-294-5847.
