    Programming a Controller

    WeatherTRAK Mobile

    PDF es:

New in version 3.5, programming a WeatherTRAK Controller can be performed directly from the app. Perform comprehensive Controller programming settings changes that mirror the settings available on WeatherTRAK Central's Controller Program page.

From the Sites List page, use the Select button to reveal the Controller's List page associated with the Site.

From the Controller List page, select the Controller Settings Page button of the Controller that you want to change programming settings for.

From the Controller's Settings page, select the Program tab, to reveal the available options.

    Note

Due to the advanced requirements, some of the OptiFlow controller programming is still performed via the Configure page on WeatherTRAK Central. Depending on the type of Controller, settings options will, or will not, be available.

    Setup

Controller settings found in the Setup section of the Program page on WeatherTRAK Central are available. These might include:

    Time Zone

It is important that the correct time zone is set for each Controller

    Auto Daylight Savings

If the Controller is located in an area that is affected by Daylight Savings, setting to ON will change the time accordingly

    Max Active Stations

Change how many Stations will be physically wired to the Controller.
For example, a 48 station Controller might only have 39 stations and a pump start being operated. Max Active Stations would then be set to 40.

Stack or Overlap (not available for OptiFlow enabled controllers)

Changing this setting determines if Programs found in the Days/Times section have their own independent Water Window and Water Day Mode.

Stacked - Available Programs reference Program A's Water Window and Water Day Mode

OverlapAvailable Programs reference their own Water Window and Water Day Mode

    MAD Limit Switch

The MAD Limit Switch is a special feature that limits the amount of water being applied to your landscape to make up for maximum allowable depletion levels. When irrigating sports turf, it is often necessary to limit the amount of watering. Using the MAD Limit switch can help you do this. When the MAD limit switch is turned on, the WeatherTRAK controller will never apply more than a 50% depletion during extreme weather conditions. The MAD limit switch is an advanced feature for a special set of users. In most cases, it should be left in the default, or off position.

    Runtime Valve Test

When turned to ON to this feature will automatically monitor the system’s wire integrity and report any valve shorts or valve no connects (broken wire) each time the controller irrigates from a scheduled start time.

    Backup Weekly ET

If there is a communication issue, for example, that prevents the controller from receiving the daily weather updates for more than 5 days in a row, the controller will then reference this backup value to adjust the ET until communication has been restored. This value should reflect the month with the highest ET and is set to July by default.

    Flow

Controller settings found in the Flow section of the Program page on WeatherTRAK Central are available. These might include:

    Points of Connection

Assign each available/used POC to a Mainline (ML1, for example). Define the type and function of the POC's Master Valve, Flow Sensor, and Pump Start.

    Mainlines

Reference the assigned POC (which acts as a link/button). Define how Mainline Break Alerts, No Flow Alerts, and Leak Alerts function.

    Flow Alert Clearing

Change to Auto to have Flow alerts clear each start time. Changing to Manual will require clearing Flow alerts from the Mobile app or Alerts tab in WeatherTRAK Central.

    Delay Before Learning

Change between 3 and 10 minutes to allow time for a Station's flow to stabilize prior to learning flow.

    Station High Flow Offset %

Change the % amount added to the user-defined flow rate or learned flow rate to determine what the Station’s High Flow Threshold will be. This affects all Stations globally.

    Station Low Flow Offset %

Change the % amount subtracted from the user-defined flow rate or learned flow rate to determine what the Station’s Low Flow Threshold will be. This affects all Stations globally.

Excluded Stations is only available on WeatherTRAK Central at this time.

    Days/Times

Controller settings found in the Days/Times section of the Program page on WeatherTRAK Central are available. These might include:

Your Controller Series determines the number of Programs that will be displayed. For example, an ET Pro3 has 8 Programs. They are listed as A through H.

Selecting a Program will provide you will additional settings options.
