The Precipitation Report displays rainfall accumulation data recorded by a precipitation sensor (rain gauge) assigned to the controller over a defined date range. It includes a bar chart and data table showing daily accumulation values.
Report Header
The top of the report displays identifying information for the report and the controller:
Company – The organization associated with the site.
Site – The specific location the controller is installed at.
Controller – The controller ID assigned to the device.
MAC / Serial Number – Hardware identifiers for the controller.
Type – The controller model.
Version – The firmware version running on the controller at the time the report was generated.
Period – The date range the report covers.
Prepared on – The date the report was generated.
By – The AppManager user who generated the report.
Precipitation Sensor
The report identifies the specific precipitation sensor (rain gauge) it is based on, displayed below the controller information. The sensor is shown by its biCoder serial number and description (for example, BR00013 - Rain Gauge 1). The total accumulated rainfall recorded across the entire report period is displayed alongside the sensor name.
Reading the Chart
The bar chart displays daily rainfall accumulation in inches on the vertical axis and dates along the horizontal axis. Each bar represents the amount of rainfall recorded by the sensor on that day. Days with no recorded rainfall will display as 0.0.
Data Table
Below the chart, a data table lists the exact accumulation value recorded for each day in the report period. This allows you to review precise daily rainfall figures for any date within the report range.
Total Accumulation
The total accumulation figure displayed near the top of the report represents the sum of all daily readings across the full report period.
Precipitation and Irrigation Scheduling
The controller can be configured to pause or stop irrigation based on precipitation data from the rain gauge. Whether this behavior is active at your site depends on how the controller has been configured in AppManager or BaseManager. The Precipitation Report itself reflects only what the sensor recorded — it does not indicate what actions, if any, the controller took in response to that data.
