A program summary file from a BaseStation 3200 with v18 (or lower) firmware is not compatible with a BaseStation 3200S display with v19 (or higher) firmware. The program conversion tool in AppManager allows you to convert a program summary file from a BaseStation 3200 controller with v18 firmware so existing the program configuration can be uploaded to a BaseStation 3200S display with v19 firmware. This article explains how to work through the conversion process.
If you have an active BaseManager/AppManager account
Log into your account and go to the AdminManager tool in AppManager. In the list of management options select “Manage BaseStation 3200s.”
Select the BaseStation 3200 controller you wish to convert the program conversion for (can be a v18 controller or a v19 controller). When you have selected the controller, locate the program management options on the screen.
The program management options include:
- Backup Programming = This allows you to remotely capture a backup file of the controller's current programming configuration
- Restore Programming = This allows you to select a backup programming file and have it upload to the controller's display to automatically update/change the controller programming configuration
- Convert Programming
- There are two options for converting a program summary file:
- Choose Local Backup: This will allow you to upload a program summary file that was already downloaded to your computer or USB key.
- Choose AppManager Backup: This will allow you to choose a backup file from any of your BaseStation 3200 controllers connected to AppManager.
- When the program conversion is finished a new file will automatically download to your computer so you can upload the file at the BaseStation 3200S display using a USB key. The file will also automatically be placed in the “Restore Programming” section of your “Manage BaseStation 3200” admin page so you can remotely upload the programming configuration to your BaseStation 3200S controller.
