    POC High Flow Shutdown

    Messages & Alerts

    PDF es:

Info, impact, causes, and troubleshooting a "POC High Flow Shutdown" message.

    Common Causes

    • Break on Mainline.
    • Flow limit is set too low.

    What happens now?

    • Alert: Control Point 1 (CP1) closed Mainline1.
    • Expected vs Actual Flow (measured in gallons per minute (GPM)) are given. The controller expected a 60 GPM, but it only measured a 71.5 GPM.
    • The master valve closes and Mainline 1 is no longer pressurized and no water will be delivered to the zones, until the message is cleared.

    Troubleshooting

    • Involves inspecting and repairing any breaks in the mainline.
    • It is also possible for the low flow limit to be set too low and needs adjustment.
    • Once the issue is resolved, you can clear the message to resume irrigation.
      • To find flow limit in BaseManager → Flow Setup → Control Points.
        • Ex: under Design Flow may be set to 50 GPM based on the mainline hydraulic capacity. A 60 GPM high flow limit reflects a 20% variance. If the Shutdown box is checked, this means the system will both send an alert and shut down when that limit is exceeded.
