This guide provides button press sequences to help recover an UltraSonix device when it becomes stuck in an alternate or unknown state. Each reset method stands alone and can be tried independently.
- Each reset option can be performed independently.
- Always allow Firmware updates to complete if LEDs indicate a FW update is in progress.

Hard Reset
Purpose: Restart the UltraSonix device if it is unresponsive or stuck in an unknown state.
Button Press Sequence:
- Press and hold the Play button only for 35+ seconds.

Alternate Reset
Purpose: Use this if the Hard Reset does not work and the device is still unresponsive.
Button Press Sequence:
- Press and release the Bluetooth button (hold for 1–3 seconds).
- When the Bluetooth LED flashes a second time, press and release the Play button once.
- Immediately press and release the Bluetooth button again.
- Immediately press and release the Play button again.

Reset to Shipping Mode
Purpose: Return the UltraSonix device to shipping mode (factory state)
Button Press Sequence:
- Press and hold both the Play button and Bluetooth button at the same time for 35+ seconds.

Firmware Update Indicator
Scenario:
- Play button LED = Solid Green
- Bluetooth button LED = Solid Red
Meaning: The device is completing a firmware (FW) update.
Action:
- Wait 15-20 minutes for the update to complete.
- Do not press any buttons during this time, as it may interrupt the update and cause issues.
