When a station high flow alert occurs, flow has exceeded the station high flow threshold, which is set during the learned flow test. The learned flow test finds flow values for each station, so you know how many gallons per minute to expect during irrigation.
The controller stops irrigation on the station that was irrigating and raises the alert. It will then move on to the next station in the scheduled sequence.
Possible Causes:
- This can happen when a sprinkler head or lateral pipe is broken.
- An irrigation valve is stuck on
- The Station High Flow Threshold (SHFT) is too low
Possible Fixes:
- Locate and replace the broken sprinkler heads
- Test valves to see which ones might be getting stuck during irrigation
- Repair the broken lateral pipe
- Confirm the station high flow setting is correct; relearn flow if new sprinkler heads have been added or replaced
