Programming a Station in User No ET Mode

    WeatherTRAK ET Pro2

    PDF es:

You may want to have the option to program a station without using the ET Everywhere service. Operating your controller in this way is known as User-No ET mode. When operated in this mode, your controller will work as a simple timer. While in this mode, weather data will not be taken into consideration for day-to-day operation, and the same amount of water will be applied to your landscape, regardless of changing weather and changing landscape requirements.

This feature is helpful when establishing new plants or landscapes, enabling you to individually set station runtimes, cycle, and soak periods.

You will be programming in watering times and cycles for each of your stations in User No ET mode by selecting a station, selecting User-No-ET, then completing the programming prompts for each station.

Parameters will need to be set for the program, water window, usable rainfall, runtimes, number of cycles, and soak times.

    1.  Turn the MAIN knob to Stations.

    2.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to select the station you want to program.

    3.  Turn the UPPER KNOB until STATION MODE displays.

    4.  Turn the LOWER KNOB until User – No ET displays.

    5.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to SELECT PROGRAM.

Assigning a Station to a Program

To irrigate any station on an automated irrigation schedule, stations must be assigned to one of eight programs, each assigned with a start time and days of the week you want to water. This setup is completed in the DAYS/TIMES menu.

    Note

In “stack” mode, one start time and water window duration are selected for all programs allowing stations to be irrigated in numerical order. In “overlap” mode, programs may have the same or overlapping start times and will water more than one station at the same time.

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to assign a station to the selected program.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to USE WATER WINDOW.

Selecting Usage of the Water Window

In Start Times/Water Days, a water window was established as part of the first start time. In this screen, you can decide to water within the water window previously defined or to irrigate outside the water window, as long as it does not exceed 23 hours and 59 minutes.

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to perform one of the following options:

    • To set the controller to not use the water window, select no.
    • To set the controller to use the water window, select yes.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to USABLE RAINFALL.

    Enabling Usable Rainfall

When programming a station for User No ET, you will want to set your usable rainfall to NONE since you will no longer be receiving rain pause messages. Keep in mind that the rain sensor message will be ignored when settings usable rainfall to None. This could cause the stations to irrigate even when a rain sensor is connected.

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to set the usable rainfall to NONE.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to RUNTIME PART 1.

    Setting Run Times

This will determine how long you want your irrigation to run.

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to set the number of whole minutes from 1 to 99 that you would like to irrigate for.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to select parts of a minute, from 0 to 9.

    3.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to set the parts of a minute you would like to water for.

    4.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to NUMBER OF CYCLES.

    Setting Number of Cycles

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to select the number of irrigation cycles you would like to complete each day.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to continue to SET SOAK TIMES.

    Setting Soak Times

Soak time is the number of minutes the station will not irrigate between each cycle, allowing water to soak into the soil.

    1.  Turn the LOWER KNOB to select the number of minutes to soak in between cycle times. Soak times can be between 0 and 480 minutes.

    2.  Turn the UPPER KNOB to complete programming.

Your Station is now set to operate in User No ET mode. Repeat the above procedure for additional stations that you want to operate in User No ET.
