Multi-Manual System Operation FAQ for OptiFlow Controllers

    OptiFlow Enabled Controllers

    PDF es:

OptiFlow’s Multi Manual feature is designed to give you the ability to manually water up to 9 stations at the same time. Below are some common questions and answers.

What happens if I manually run stations within the irrigation window?

When a manual run is requested during the irrigation window, the system will pause all scheduled irrigation for the duration of the manual run queue. The manual run will finish and the scheduled irrigation will resume. Because the system is paused, no other stations will run, which significantly reduces the risk of over-current events and over-taxing the mainline. When the manual queue is sent, the master valve(s)/pump(s) will shut off and then restart to initiate the manual queue. If a user wants to add another station or make an adjustment to the manual queue, the system will shut off the master valve/pump and then reinitiate for the updated manual queue. You can run up to 9 stations at one time based on electrical capacity. If the number of concurrent manual operations exceeds 9 stations the remaining run order will be determined by the sequence in which the stations were entered.

    Note

The system will not prevent you from exceeding the flow capacity of the mainline and an alert will still be issued, letting you know that the mainline threshold has been exceeded.

What happens if I manually run stations outside the irrigation window?

When a manual run is requested outside the irrigation window, the system is not active. The master valve(s)/pump(s) will activate to provide flow. The controller will run the manual queue according to how you specified it. If you want to add another station or make an adjustment to the manual queue, the system will shut off the master valve/pump and then reinitiate for the updated manual queue. If the manual run extends into the start of the irrigation window, the system will shut down the manual run before the irrigation window opens. This is to prevent an over-current event or flow issues. You can run up to 9 stations at one time based on electrical capacity. If the number of concurrent manual operations exceeds 9 stations the remaining run order will be determined by the sequence in which the stations were entered.

    Note

The system will not prevent you from exceeding the flow capacity of the mainline and an alert will still be issued, letting you know that the mainline threshold has been exceeded or that a station low/no flow event has occurred.

What happens with Multi-Manual during Learn Flow?

If a learn flow is in progress, the learn flow request will take precedence over a manual run request. Manual run will not override the learn flow. The manual page in WeatherTRAK Central, the Mobile App, or on the controller will inform you that a Learned Flow is in progress and that manual operations are not allowed at that time. If a Manual run is in progress when a learned flow is requested, the learn flow request will cancel the manual run and execute the learn flow. The Learn Flow page in WeatherTRAK Central, the Mobile App, or the controller panel will inform you that a Learned Flow is in progress and that manual operation will be canceled. You will have the option to proceed with the learned flow or to cancel it while the manual operation is in progress.

How does Multi-Manual work in WeatherTRAK Central?

An OptiFlow XR controller or controllers in an OptiFlow group can run multiple manual stations per controller simultaneously. You initiate the manual run from WeatherTRAK Central on the Manual page under the Smart Irrigation tab. From WeatherTRAK Central, you will be able to select and specify the stations that you want to manually operate, the run order priority, and the run time for each station. The maximum number of stations that you can operate from one controller is 9. The system will keep track of the number of stations and will inform you of how many additional stations you can run.

How does Multi-Manual work in the Mobile App?

You can use the Mobile App to specify multiple manual operations for OptiFlow enabled controllers. On the MULTIPLE tab, choose the Overlap button at the bottom of the screen - once the stations have been selected. The maximum number of stations that you can operate at once from is 9. The system will keep track of the number of stations and will inform you of how many additional stations are selected.
