Accessing Weather Station Management

1. After logging into your BaseManager Plus account, click the menu button in the upper left-hand corner.

2. Click Administration from the menu.

3. Select Manage Weather Stations. This will display a list of all weather stations currently associated with your BaseManager Plus account.

Adding a Weather Station

1. Click Add Weather Station.

2. Enter the weather station ID from Weather Underground in the provided field. Weather Underground operates a network of over 180,000 weather stations, so there is likely one available in your area.

If you have your own weather station, you can add it to Weather Underground at no cost and then use it as your weather station for irrigation purposes.

Finding a Weather Station ID

If you don't know the weather station ID or need to locate one, follow these steps:

1. Click Find Weather Station in the weather station entry box.

2. When prompted, click to share your location. This allows your browser to pull your location information based on your internet service provider and share it with Weather Underground, helping them provide weather stations closer to your actual location. If you don't share your location, you'll need to manually search for a weather station.

Selecting a Weather Station on Weather Underground

Once you're on the Weather Underground website, you have two options for finding a weather station:

Option 1: Browse the List
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to see a list of available weather stations in your area. Click on any weather station from this list to select it.

Option 2: Use the Map View
Click Change Weather Station to view a map displaying weather stations in your area. You can scroll around the map to find a weather station close to your location.

Copying the Weather Station ID

1. After selecting a weather station, you'll be taken to its landing page.

2. Click on the title of the weather station at the top of the page.

3. The weather station ID number will be displayed. Copy this ID number.

Saving the Weather Station to BaseManager

1. Return to the weather station Administration page in BaseManager Plus.

2. Paste the weather station ID into the field.

3. Click Save. The system will verify that the weather station has good data available. If the weather station doesn't have viable data, you'll receive a notification and will need to find another weather station.

Assigning the Weather Station to a Controller

Once the weather station has been added to your BaseManager Plus account, you can assign it to a specific controller:

1. Navigate to Devices in your BaseManager account.

2. Select Weather Station.

3. Click Assign Weather Stations.

4. In the drop-down menu, select the weather station you added (it will appear by name in the list).

5. If desired, add any notes about the weather station in the notes field.

6. Click Save. The BaseStation controller is now associated with the selected weather station and can use its weather data for irrigation purposes.
