Step-by-Step Guide
The BaseStation 3200 provides two methods for learning flow: you can learn flow for an individual zone one at a time, or you can learn flow for all zones within a program by scheduling the entire program. Both methods require the dial to be in the Flow position to configure, then moved to the Run position to execute.
Learning Flow for a Single Zone
1. Turn the dial to the Flow dial position.
2. Navigate down to Zone learn flow operations and press Enter.
3. Select the zone you want to learn flow for using the Plus or Minus buttons, then press Next.
4. Change the status from Not yet to Scheduled using the Plus or Minus buttons.
5. Press Next to schedule when you want to learn flow for that zone. You can schedule the learn flow cycle for a few minutes from now, a few hours from now, or even a few days from now.
6. Once you have configured the schedule, turn the dial to the Run position. When the scheduled time arrives, the controller will attempt to learn flow for that zone.
Keep in mind that the controller will obey water windows if they are in place.
Learning Flow for All Zones in a Program
1. Turn the dial to the Flow dial position.
2. Navigate to the program learn flow option, highlight it using the Next and Previous keys, then press Enter.
3. Review the list of programs displayed. The screen shows all programs along with their status indicating whether or not the program has had a learn flow cycle. Programs that display NA do not have zones configured that allow flow learning.
4. Select the program you want to learn flow for and change its status to Pending.
5. Press Next to schedule when you want the program to learn flow. You can set the schedule for a few minutes from now, a few hours from now, or a few days from now.
6. Once you have configured the program status to Pending and set the date and time, turn the dial to the Run position. The program will learn flow for all its zones at the scheduled time.
