Step-by-Step Guide
Accessing the Administration Panel
1. Log into your Baseline Apps account.
2. Open the BaseManager icon on the left tab.
3. Click on the three-bar menu in the upper left corner.
4. Click Administration, then click Administration again.
This will open a new browser tab with an interface that looks completely different from the standard BaseManager view.
Locating and Editing User Settings
Before configuring alerts, ensure that you have already set up the user and authorized their controllers. If you haven't completed this step, refer to the initial user setup documentation first.
1. Select My Users and then Edit My Users.
2. Locate the user you want to configure. You can either scroll through the user list or use the search function to find them quickly.
3. Once you've found the correct user, select Edit.
Verifying Contact Information
To ensure the user receives alerts properly, verify that their contact information is accurate.
1. Double-check the user's email address that was entered when their BaseManager access account was set up.
2. Verify the phone number is correct.
3. Decide whether the user will receive alert text messages, alert emails, or both.
4. If enabling text alerts, add the text number and select the appropriate service provider from the dropdown.
Enabling Alerts and Setting Timezone
The default setting in BaseManager is to disable all alerts, so you must manually opt in to receive them.
1. Change the alert setting from Disable All Alerts to Allow All Alerts Below to opt in.
2. Verify that the timezone is accurate for the user's location.
3. Set the Report Delivery Time. Note that this setting tells BaseManager when it can deliver reports, but it does not apply to alerts.
Configuring Alert Delivery Schedules
You can customize when alerts are delivered via email and text message to avoid disruptions during non-working hours.
1. For email alerts, decide whether you want them delivered throughout the day or consolidated. For example, you can choose to receive email alerts only once per day.
2. For text message alerts, you can allow them all throughout the day or restrict when they are sent.
3. To restrict text message hours, set the time periods when text alerts should not be sent. For example, you can disable text messages from midnight until 6:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to midnight, allowing them only during working hours.
4. When you're finished configuring all settings, press the Edit Save button.
Subscribing to Alert Types
1. Click on the Alert and Report Subscription tab to review the alerts and reports that have been set up.
2. Click Edit Alert Subscriptions.
3. By default, none of the alert types are subscribed. Select which alert priorities you want to receive. For example, you can click on Alert High Priority and Alert Medium Priority to subscribe to those alert levels.
4. Decide whether to exclude certain alert types. For example, you may choose not to receive message alerts or low priority alerts.
5. You can quickly turn all alerts on or off using the toggle button if needed.
6. Be sure to save any changes before leaving the page.
Subscribing to Report Types
1. Click Edit Report Subscriptions.
2. Select which reports you want to receive. For example, you can subscribe to Daily Status Alerts, System Performance, and Program Summary Reports.
3. Be sure to save any changes before leaving the page.
Accessing Additional Reports
Beyond the subscribed reports, you can access additional reports through two different methods:
Option 1: Report Launcher
Access reports through the Report Launcher interface.
Option 2: Analytics Tab (Recommended)
1. Navigate to the main App Manager page.
2. Click on the Analytics tab.
3. Drill down to the reports specific to your controller.
The recently updated Analytics interface provides an improved user experience compared to the Report Launcher, though both options remain available.
Configuring Flow and Pressure Limits for Alerts
If you need to configure flow limits and pressure limits that trigger alerts, these settings are located in BaseManager at the Flow tab. This configuration is covered in separate documentation.
