When programming a WeatherTRAK controller, it is important to ensure that the Max Active Stations setting is changed to reflect the actual number of station valves that are installed and going to be programmed (active stations). This should not exceed the last station valve wired to the controller.
For example:
If an ET Pro3 controller with a 48 station capacity has 39 stations wired and being operated, the Max Active Stations should be set to 39.
or
If an ET Pro3 controller with a 48 station capacity's highest station wired and being operated is 39, the Max Active Stations should be set to 39.
If you set Max Active Stations to a number greater than the actual number of station valves wired to the controller, a Valve No Connect alert can be triggered for the stations with no valve connected.
If you set Max Active Stations to a number lesser than the actual number of station valves wired to the controller, the stations that are excluded will not operate.
Note: Do not count master valve, pump start, or sensor inputs as active stations.
To change Max Active Stations
1. Log into WeatherTRAK Central and hover over the Smart Irrigation tab, and select Program.
2. Make sure you have the correct controller selected. Use the drop-down tab if needed to change your selection.
3. In the Setup area, use the drop-down tab next to Max Active Stations and choose the station number that corresponds to the total number of station valves wired to the controller.
4. Click Save & Send to save and send the change to the controller.
