Device Pressure Bad Reading
Priority: High
Definition: The controller is unable to communicate to the pressure sensor
Example:

This is a high priority since it can affect the programs or the control points if assigned in these. This also can appear as a Two Wire Communication alert. Since the controller cannot communicate with the pressure sensor when this alert is present that means the controller will not be actively seeing the pressure reading in the field.
Commonly this alert is caused from damages in the field such as damaged wire splices, corrosion, poor splices, damaged two wire path, or water filled boxes with poor splicing.
Action Needed: This is an alert and action
Troubleshooting:
- Remove the sensor and test the sensor at the controller to narrow down if it’s the device or a field related issue.
- -Replace the splices with DBR/Y-R splices according to specifications
- -Isolate and repair any damages in the two-wire path
