    Step-by-Step Guide

    Before configuring program settings, ensure you have already assigned your bike coders to zones and configured your zone run times and other zone settings.

    Accessing Program Settings

    1. Turn the dial to the Programs dial position.

    The program settings screen displays several configuration options:

    • Program start times
    • Start days or day intervals
    • Program water windows
    • Concurrent zone settings
    • Advanced program setup

    Setting Up Program Start Times

    1. Highlight the Program Start Times square (shown in blue) and press Enter.

    2. Select the program you want to configure using the Plus or Minus key.

    3. Set up to eight start times for the selected program by pressing the Next button to highlight each time box and using the Plus or Minus key to adjust the time. For example, you can set the first start time to 4:00 a.m.

    Configuring Start Days

    1. Press the Next key to navigate down to Start Day Setup and press Enter.

    2. Select the program in the upper box using the Plus or Minus key.

    3. Choose your schedule type:

    Days of the Week: This option displays all seven days of the week below. Set each day to Yes or No to allow or disallow watering starts on that specific day.

    Interval Days: Press the Plus or Minus key to change the schedule type to Interval Days. This allows you to:

    • Set the start date for the interval (defaults to tomorrow's date)
    • Specify the number of days between watering cycles (for example, set to 2 for watering every two days)

    Setting Up Water Windows

    1. Press Next to highlight Water Window Setup and press Enter.

    2. Select the program in the first box.

    3. Choose your water window configuration:

    Weekly: Sets the same water window for all seven days of the week.

    Daily: Press Plus to configure water windows individually for each day of the week.

    4. Define the restricted watering hours. For example, to prevent watering between 7:00 a.m. and noon:

    • Use the Next button to navigate through the time settings
    • Use the Plus or Minus key to adjust the hours
    • White boxes indicate times when the controller will not allow watering

    Configuring Concurrent Zone Settings

    1. Press Back to return to the main program settings screen, then use the Next button to navigate to Concurrent Zones Setup.

    2. In the left column, locate your program number. In the right column, set the maximum number of zones allowed to run simultaneously for that program. For example, if you have sufficient water pressure, you can set this to 3 zones at a time.

    3. Use the Next key to navigate down to the Total Allowed box. This setting controls the total number of zones allowed to run across all programs on the entire system. Set this value accordingly (for example, 3).

    The controller will water using the lesser of these two numbers. The smallest number determines the maximum number of zones that can operate simultaneously.

    Advanced Program Setup (BaseStation 3200 Only)

    1. Press the Back key to return to the main program settings screen, then navigate to Advanced Programs Setup and press Enter.

    2. Select the program you want to configure.

    Disabling Programs

    You can disable a program to preserve all zone assignments and program settings without the program actively running. This is useful for:

    • Seasonal programs
    • Grow-in programs
    • Fertigation programs
    • Any program you want to save for occasional use

    When you need to use the program again, simply re-enable it. When finished, disable it again to prevent it from running.

    Setting Program Priorities

    The BaseStation 3200 allows you to prioritize programs with three priority levels: High, Medium, and Low.

    The controller always waters higher priority programs before attempting to water medium priority programs, and will complete all higher priority programs before moving to lower priority ones. This feature is useful when you have:

    • High-priority landscape areas that must stay green
    • Lower-priority areas (such as back-of-property zones) that are less critical

    Set critical areas to High priority and less important areas to Medium or Low priority to ensure the controller waters them in the desired order.
